In a landmark move for sustainability, Innovate Engineering and Development (IED) and HOK have signed a contract with the National Board of Revenue (NBR) to develop its new eco-friendly headquarters. Designed to achieve LEED certification, the project highlights IED’s commitment to sustainable construction and energy efficiency.

The contract signing ceremony took place at Le Méridien, Dhaka, attended by high-ranking NBR officials and senior representatives from IED and HOK. This collaboration merges local expertise with global best practices, setting new benchmarks in environmental stewardship. Custom Modernization & Infrastructure Development (CMID) Project Director NBR AKM Nurul Huda Azad emphasized the project's strategic importance, noting its integration of energy-efficient systems, sustainable materials, and smart technologies to minimize carbon footprint. "Our headquarters will not only meet operational needs but also serve as a model for sustainable public infrastructure," he stated. CEO Eng. Rana Masud of IED expressed confidence in the joint venture’s ability to deliver a state-of-the-art green building. "With our LEED Gold and WELL certifications, IED has consistently set high standards in sustainable construction. Partnering with HOK strengthens our vision of innovation and environmental responsibility," he said. A representative from HOK highlighted key design features, including solar energy harvesting, rainwater recycling, and automated energy management systems. "This project sets a new benchmark for green construction in Bangladesh," they added.
